ADSL, ADSL2+ Under-Served (GIS Files)

Some 80% of Australia's broadband take-up is via ADSL/ ADSL2+.  Not surprisingly, the key to understanding broadband under-served is a knowledge of xDSL under-served.

Callpoint dynamically generates the layers based on the most recent information.  These datasets are especially useful for instance to regional wireless players and other alternative last mile providers.

Note: the basic layers are offered to customers who are licensed with ExchangeInfo.  The version that includes Large Pair Gain Systems (LPGS) is only available to those customers who are authorised by Telstra Wholesale to purchase ExchangeInfo Plus.  For further details please read our submission to DCITA.

ADSL Under-Served Regions (GIS Layer)

Below is an extract of this layer.  Note that these datasets are created at the time of order to ensure that clients have the most recent edition.

Legend:
Dark grey cross-hatch - no exchanges within Exchange Service Area (ESA)
Light grey diagonal cross-hatch - no ADSL enabled exchange within ESA as of production date
Solid dark grey - ESA has an ADSL enabled exchange, but distance is beyond notional ADSL coverage limits
Red cross-hatch - Large Pair Gain Systems that were not ADSL-enabled as of production date

Note: Callpoint provides the above as a single and/ or multiple layer combinations for ready use within a client's intended application.

ADSL Under-Served Premises (GIS Layer)

Callpoint's ADSL Under-Served Premises layer is a natual companion to the above Under-Served Regions layer.  By understanding the location of under-served premises, alternative last mile providers can more sharply refine their infrastructure rollouts and business case modelling.  As a Full Access PSMA VAR, Callpoint can assist those clients that don't have a G-NAF license.

Please refer the sample below.

Legend:
Small blue-grey dots - Geocoded National Address File (G-NAF) Address Points
