PSMA Cadlite®

PSMA Cadlite® is a comprehensive dataset of cadastral vector data that cover Australia’s 10.5 million land parcels.  As its supplied in digital form, it is also known as a Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB).  The dataset consistes of two themes.

The primary Cadastre theme is designed for organisations that need a spatial representation of land parcel boundaries.  Included within the attribution data are the Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) that facilitate integration with other data to meet overall business needs.

A companion to the above boundaries are the Property themes.  These tables identify the three relationships that can exist between a property and a cadastral parcel. These are:

1. Where one cadastral parcel is equal to one property

2. Where many cadastral parcels make up one property

3. Where one cadastral parcel contains many properties

These relationships can play an important role in applications such as geocoding.
